- Nominal Decree --
 About expulsion of Lithuanians and Jews from Kaluga to Nizhny Novgorod.
It is ordered to Bogdan Kamynin in Kaluga: Lithuanian people and Jews, which
were sent to Kaluga by the Boyar and Governor (Voyevoda) Prince Alexei Nikitich
Troubetzkoy and his comrades –total of one hundred and eight families, and three
widows, and 21 single people, and also those who will be sent from Bryansk by Prince
Theodore Volkonskiy - 92 people, and 3 prison inmates – from Kaluga shall be sent to
Nizhny Novgorod in the spring, with the first thaw of ice on the water, by the vessels of
the Kaluga townspeople and by all ranks of people whose boats will go from Kaluga down
the river, they shall be led by a nobleman and a good Boyar son, and 20 musketeers from
Kaluga shall be assigned to escort them to Nizhny Novgorod, and it is ordered that the
Sovereign’s compensation (sustenance pay) to those Lithuanian people and the Jews for
the travel expenses shall be given from the customs revenues for a month – with families -
six coins, for single people - 4 coins per person per day. (P. P. C. 3, t. I, № 148)
