Nominal, held at the Supreme Secret Council. - On the expulsion of Jews from Russia and about observation, so that they do not take with them Russian gold and silver money. This April 20th, Her Imperial Majesty ordered: The Jews, both male and female, who dwell in Ukraine and other Russian cities, should be all sent out of Russia abroad immediately, and henceforth they shall not be allowed to enter Russia under any pretense, and that cautionary warning shall be in all places. And when they are to leave [Russia], they should be watched closely so that they will not take abroad out from Russia gold, or any Russian silver coins and Jefimok(s) [silver thalers]; and if they have Chervonets(s) and Jefimok(s) or any Russian coins in their possession, in exchange give them an equivalent sum in copper money.
